- "These people; dead, alive, or missing left us shouldering one responsibility. How do we move forward? What do we shape Monroe into? I, for one, remember what our founders brought forth in this new nation (...) Hope for the future, a chance for all men and women to build free of the threat of the Coalition. Free of the threat of criminals. Free of danger. Yet, now here we are; danger inside of our walls on all sides. You see, The difference is, I don't see danger beside me, I see danger looking at each of you. We are broaching an engagement, a civil war. The very things we fought to truly keep out. This, however, will not be the end for us one way or another; simply a test, of whether our nation can endure ... If it does not, Monroe lives on as a memory, a legacy of what could have been (...) If it does: a beacon of hope in a world so desperately in need. This conflict will not be met on a battlefield, it will never be met with bloodshed on our own people. It will be met with barbed, venomous words and the ideals of the paranoid. Know this, once and for all. We are at a new chapter in our history, one which will be set in stone by what happens here tonight. So, I ask you this one more time, I ask you to hear me. We have lost our way, we are losing ourselves. Losing our dreams (...) in what? The pursuit of vengeance -- greatness -- fear? And in all of that, we will fail to do good time and time again. We cannot lose our dreams of hope. Not now, not to this, and not to the threat she speaks of. Love, hope, legacy, and sacrifice is what Monroe was built on. We must go forward, each of us, hand in hand. The question is simple: What will Monroe become? Will it only be a memory of what little remains of our honored dead, a site of devotion for what could have been (...) Or, will we dedicate ourselves to the task at hand, a great task honoring each of those who came before us, who live on in our memories, and in each and every one of us as Monrovians: do we resolve that the dead did not die in vain. Do we see that this nation has a new birth of hope, prosperity and freedom? Hear me now, I know which side I stand. I stand with Terry Winters. Dare to dream of a future where we so nobly continue the work dedicated to those who sought to consecrate these grounds as a bastion of hope. Anthony Wilson is a main character and survivor of the outbreak in GWR's What Remains. He is a resident of Monroe alongside his wife, Ruth, and the former Head of Agriculture under both Julian and Job.
