Pre-Apocalypse[]

Location Unknown[]

Nothing is known about Duane's life prior to or as the outbreak began.

Post-Apocalypse[]

Pittsford, New York[]

At some point during the outbreak, Duane became a resident of The Coalition of Pittsford and Fairport where he enlisted in the Rangers.

Season 1[]

"A Brave New World"[]

After reaching out to several different Ranger outposts, Paw came in contact with Duane's unit. A meet-up was set for the coming weeks following the construction of Fort Harris.

"Eight Hours"[]

At Fort Harris, Paw was planning for a counteroffensive against the Millers in the mounting conflict while Duane read off his recent report from his sector.

"The Key"[]

Before Paw and 2-15 left to aid Monroe in an ambush on a suspected Miller Caravan, Duane was given a status update on the conflict. Following the events of the ambush, Paw left to Pittsford where he was ousted as having participated in a sex scandal with several high-up officials in the Coalition Government. Duane was mentioned as having been the arresting officer.

Season 2[]

"Questionable Ethics"[]

When Max Rutherford and Unit 2-15 arrived at Pittsford following the bombings, Duane was first seen at the Breach defending several emergency response crews still left in the area. He aided in dispatching the remaining Red-Eyes, and then explained that the area up ahead was completely overrun from the attacks. With no back-up, Duane decided to hold the Breach until the Ranger Field Office could spare more men.

Later, Duane was seen arriving at the Ranger Field Office with several other Rangers and the emergency response crews transporting countless injured civilians who were apparently dug out of the rubble down below. It can be assumed that Marco Alferez's remains were recovered by Duane and his men.

"Oppressor"[]

Duane was seen during Jack Bevis' briefing before the attack on the North Star Housing Block in Liberty. His unit was later seen moving injured Rangers out of the building following the suicide bombing attempts. It can be assumed that Aklaq Scott's remains were recovered by Duane and his men.

Shortly before the Ranger Field Office was placed into lockdown following the bid for Francis King and Max to be brought into custody for going AWOL, Duane was seen filing his report on the events. He was seen in the background again as Charles and several other Rangers cornered and ultimately brought King into custody following his ill-fated attempt at escape.
