Dwight Kilean is a main character and survivor of the outbreak in GWR's What Remains. He is an officer of The Coalition of Pittsford and Fairport and the former chief quartermaster and second-in-command of the Rangers.

Pre-Apocalypse[]

Location Unknown[]

Nothing is known about Dwight's life prior to or as the outbreak began.

Post-Apocalypse[]

Pittsford, New York[]

At some point after the onset of the outbreak, Dwight discovered a burgeoning community called Pittsford, where some survivors lived and thus he joined the group. He served as an enforcer and eventually was selected as one of the earliest recruits to their militia which later formed into The Rangers. He served alongside numerous others during a conflict with a community known as Fairport where he earned a notorious reputation as being a butcher, showing little to no mercy toward his adversaries.

At the end of the conflict and the unification of communities, Dwight stepped back from an active-combat role and was assigned a new position as quartermaster. Since then, he has invented numerous staple weapons and designed different systems to support the growing faction.

Season 1[]

"Years Gone By"[]

Dwight is a member of the Ranger Command, operating the armory. He was first seen when Julianne Lynch returned to Pittsford to purchase equipment prior to her retirement. The two of them conversed about the happenings in Monroe County, after which, Dwight agreed to sell her some old equipment and refit a discount armor piece.

"Adaptation"[]

Dwight was among the staff which Rook encountered during his visit to the Ranger Field Office. He was seen in the background when he visited the armory.

"A Brave New World"[]

Dwight was seen working on the repairs for several firearms when Max Rutherford came to visit him during her mission to resupply Paw's burgeoning outpost. The pair shared a friendly greeting and briefly discussed Monroe, as well as how Max was holding up. After she purchased some equipment, Dwight offered to let her try his new batch of cocaine for free.

"The Key"[]

In the middle of the night, Dwight arrived at Outpost 2-15 with the Deadhead Express, a retrofitted Coalition tank. He explained that Larue Monroe sent him to reinforce the unit during their raid on the Miller Compound.

Later, Max and Dwight were seen snorting cocaine together.

"The Third Door"[]

As Max and the rest of her unit discussed the impending battle, Dwight was seen perched atop his tank. A short time later, Dwight accompanied Max and the rest of her unit to fight the Miller Family at their compound. He was among the Rangers who engaged in combat on the initial breach in the compound, Dwight piloted the Deadhead Express in through the front gate, aiding in disabling numerous emplaced defenses with the main battle cannon. There, Dwight continued leading the charge in the armored vehicle, moving through the side-lots, dispatching of ground Miller forces with turret fire.

Once Max and several members of her unit breached the building, Dwight remained outside to aid with any stragglers. He was heard several times over the radio after the Deadhead Express stalled. At the end of the conflict against Jeremiah Miller and several members of the Miller Family, Dwight was able to ram through the wall of the country club to aid in the rescue of those inside. Later, Dwight was seen leaving the building with the rest of the unit.

A few days later, Dwight departed from Outpost 2-15 after Max and the rest of her unit received orders from OSI Agents Francis Hood and Jason Selby to return to The Miller Family compound to recover samples of the unknown organism encountered by the unit.
