Noelle Lange is a main character and survivor of the outbreak in GWR's What Remains. She is the daughter of the late Yen-Khae Lange and Nathan Lange. Twelve years after the events in Valley Station, Noelle, her father, and sister have settled in Pittsford with her working as a Senior Ranger.
After being held captive as a prisoner-of-war in Monroe following the murder of Arlo Gray, Noelle was released and later promoted to her new position as an officer of the Coalition of Pittsford and Fairpoint. A few months later, she is sent to Fort Harris to investigate the death of Max Stone and OSI Agent Francis Hood's involvement in it. Though, her investigation is cut short after a terrorist attack occurs behind the walls of Pittsford, jeopardizing the safety of her family.
